provides couples with a simple and efficient alternative to the LA Registrar-Recorder’s Office. We handle all aspects of your marriage—issuing your marriage license, performing the civil ceremony, filing the marriage license with the Registrar-Recorder’s office, and ordering a certified copy of your marriage record.
Whether you are a California resident or visiting from out of state or abroad, we can marry you on the same day—no California or U.S. residency required. Same-sex couples are welcome!
You may either visit our office in Encino (San Fernando Valley) for your ceremony, or we can travel to your preferred location, deliver your marriage license, and officiate the wedding. We proudly serve Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura Counties.

We provide both a marriage license and wedding ceremony on the same day, offering a fast and convenient way to legally marry. The entire process takes about one hour, and you will be legally married by the end of it.
Immediate Benefits:

Within 6-8 weeks, a certified copy of your marriage record will be mailed to you by the Los Angeles County Recorder’s Office, completing the entire process.

Whether you're eloping, need legal documentation following an informal ceremony, or just want a simple wedding, we make the process easy. You can complete the ceremony with just the legal requirements ("I do") and be legally married without any witnesses.
However, if you prefer a more traditional ceremony, you're welcome to bring guests to our wedding chapel in Encino (San Fernando Valley), or we can travel to your location for your ceremony (e.g., a restaurant, beach, or private home).

3. Delivery and Filing of Your Marriage License
We will deliver and file your original marriage license with the LA County Registrar-Recorder’s Office. A certified copy of your marriage record will typically be mailed to you within 6-8 weeks from your ceremony date.
Same-Sex Marriages
Instant Marriage LA offers marriage license issuance and wedding ceremonies for same-sex couples. In addition, same-sex marriages are fully recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for tax purposes and by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for immigration matters, including applications for green cards, fiancé visas, and more.
