Instant Marriage LA offers couples a nice and simple alternative to the LA Registrar Recorders’ Offices. There is no paperwork hassle – we provide you a marriage license, perform a civil ceremony, file your marriage license with the Registrar Recorder’s office and order a certified copy of your marriage record for you.
Whether you live in California or just visiting from another state or country, we will be able to get you married on the same day. No California or US residency required!

You can either come to our location in Encino (San Fernando Valley) for a civil ceremony or we can travel to your place of choice, deliver your marriage license and officiate your wedding. We serve Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura Counties.

We provide a marriage license and perform a wedding ceremony on the SAME DAY. It takes about one hour and you will be legally married! On the day of your ceremony you will have an instant proof of marriage and a temporary certificate that can be used for immigration, military benefits, medical insurance purposes, property issues, etc. A certified copy of your marriage record will be mailed to you by the Los Angeles County Recorder's Office within 6-8 weeks from your marriage date.

1. Marriage License

2. Civil Wedding Ceremony
Are you planning to have a big/destination wedding in the future, but need to be legally married now?
Have you already had your official ceremony and just need to have a legal document?
Are you eloping and want to keep it simple, or this is just a spur-of-the moment wedding?
If any of the above applies to you, you can just say "I do" (the minimum legal requirement) for the ceremony part and you will be legally married! No witnesses are needed, it can be as simple as the two of you.
You are also more than welcome to have a traditional wedding ceremony with flowers/rings and bring guests at our Encino (San Fernando Valley) wedding chapel. Alternatively, we can travel* to your location and have your wedding ceremony at a place of your choice such as your favorite restaurant, beach, private house, etc.

3. Delivery and filing of your original marriage license to the LA County Registrar/Recorder’s Office
A certified copy of your marriage record is normally mailed to you within 6-8 weeks from the day of your ceremony.
Same Sex Marriages
Instant Marriage LA can issue marriage licenses and perform wedding ceremonies for same sex couples.
